Since 2004, MPA has been serving the rural community of southeastern Oklahoma.  In 2020, the whole world changed. Telehealth services became a necessity.  Though extremely initially reluctant (some would say "stubborn" or "averse to change"), Dr. Ward has since become a national authority on telehealth practice, reaching those in more remote locations, pairing patient convenience with excellence in service delivery.  MPA has long been a leader in rural mental health care and is proud to offer both in-person and telehealh services.

In 2022, McPherson Psychological Associates was born, and MPA furthered its mission to serve those in rural communities, planting in the heartland of Kansas.  That practice has since grown to be a flagship of the MPA family and now offers medication management, psychological testing and an array of specialty counseling services.

In 2026, as MPA Kansas was opening its brand new digs on Main Street in beautiful downtown McPherson, MPA Poteau organically developed and grew in beautiful downtown Poteau!  MPA Poteau is our first office to offer case management services as well as counseling services--and the new office is warm and inviting.

And we just keep growing!  So, what's next for MPA, you ask?  Dr. Ward would say "God knows" and mean that literally.  In the works: occupational therapy services in McPherson and case management in McAlester.  Dr. Ward has a heart for ABA service delivery and, as an old BCBA herself, loves to talk shop with behavior analysts.  Who knows what's next?
