Geriatric counseling focuses on supporting older adults as they navigate the emotional, cognitive, and practical challenges that can come with aging. This may include adjusting to health changes, coping with memory concerns, managing loss or grief, and adapting to shifts in independence or life roles. Therapy provides a supportive space to process these experiences, strengthen coping skills, and maintain a sense of purpose and connection. It can also help address anxiety, depression, or caregiver stress, often involving family members when appropriate. The goal is to enhance quality of life, promote resilience, and support healthy aging with dignity and respect.
