Group counseling is a form of therapy where a small group of people meet regularly with a trained therapist to talk, learn, and support one another. Groups can be tailored for different ages and needs—such as children, adolescents, or adults—and may focus on specific concerns like anxiety, trauma, social skills, or life transitions. This setting provides a safe, structured space to share experiences, practice new skills, and gain insight from others who may be facing similar challenges. Hearing different perspectives helps people feel less alone and more understood, while also building communication, coping, and relationship skills. Over time, many people find that group counseling increases confidence, strengthens connections, and supports meaningful personal growth.
