Candace Dixon, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Candace Dixon is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) at MPA's McPherson location. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri – Kansas City and holds board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Candace is licensed to treat patients across the full lifespan, from age 5 through adulthood, with a special interest in children and adolescents. Her background also includes meaningful community work — volunteering for the United Way of the Plains "Point in Time" homeless count, fundraising for the Guadalupe Clinic, and serving with the Homeless Outreach Team. She has also mentored students as a preceptor in both her RN and APRN roles.
A lifelong animal lover with 3 dogs and 1 cat at home, Candace will readily admit that a good puppy or kitten video is genuinely therapeutic. (She's not wrong, and the research probably backs her up.)
