LaMonte Rothrock, LPC

LaMonte Rothrock is a Licensed Professional Counselor at MPA's McPherson location with a background as eclectic as it is impressive. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education K-12 from McPherson College and a Master's in Counseling from Wichita State University — a combination that speaks to someone who understands people on both analytical and creative levels.

LaMonte is a Certified Coach, a Trainer of Trainers for Active Parenting, and a certificate holder from the Kansas Leadership Center. His areas of focus include Athletic Performance, Executive Coaching, and Team Building, and his professional background spans K-12 counseling, higher education, parenting classes, and consulting. He also serves as Chair of both the Local Emergency Planning Committee and the McPherson County Emergency Team.

LaMonte has a guiding belief he carries into his work: "Relationship is the root to happiness and success." When he's not living that out professionally, he's living it out with great music cranked up loud. (The two aren't mutually exclusive.)
